Proposed changes to the boundary between Central Ward and Hamilton Ward

Submitted by TPA Editor on Wed, 11/02/2015 - 9:38pm

As some of you know and many will have read in the January 2015 issue of Village News, the Electoral Commission for Queensland is considering making some alterations to the boundaries of the administrative divisions within Brisbane City Council’s area. One possible change is to alter the boundary between Central Ward and Hamilton Ward, which at present runs towards the river along Chermside Street; down the steps to Macquarie Street, and then straight towards the river through the Teneriffe Wharves apartment complex. This means that Teneriffe is split between two councillors’ wards.
