On behalf of TPA, I have made a submission to the Commissioner for Body Corporate and Community Management regarding the Mactaggarts Place fence. A copy of the submission is attached. If anyone would like any more information please contact me.
To show support for TPA and its campain to reinstate the footpath through Mactaggarts Place please come to the next TPA meeting, and come along to the next community BBQ. It will be held next to Gloria, the statue on Riverwalk, on Sunday 13 November at 11:00 am.
Wednesday 19 October is the date for the monthly meeting of TPA. 7:00 pm at the Shed.
The agenda is attached. The discussion is going to be focused on the natural environment of Teneriffe this month. Community gardens and street planting will feature in the discussion, so please come along and join in the conversation about how we are going to maintain and improve the environment of Teneriffe.
The attached letter from Lord Mayor Graham Quirk is the BCC response to the submitted petition requesting Council to use its best endeavours to reestablish public access to Riverwalk through Mactagarts Place.
Notwithstanding the tone of the letter, the campaign to have the Fence removed continues. Please continue to show support for the campaign in every way you can. TPA will continue to coordinate campaign efforts and represent the views of the community on this important matter.
The TPA has a go fund me site (link below) to raise community awareness and funds to fight the fence. Please share this with everyone you can.
