Clean Up Teneriffe Day 5 March 2017

Submitted by Ben Pritchard on Mon, 06/03/2017 - 11:24am

Thank you to all the volunteers, Scouts and parents who pitched in to make the Clean Up Teneriffe Day the biggest and best one so far. Over 50 volunteers were ably assisted by the Brisbane Central Scouts in cleaning up the whole of Teneriffe. The suburb is now tidy and clear of litter.
A big thank you to the volunteers who helped organise and produce the event, which was followed by a great bbq on the grass outside the TPA Shed.

Clean Up Australia Day

Submitted by TPA Editor on Wed, 01/03/2017 - 4:03pm

A reminder folks,

This coming Sunday, 5th of March, is “Clean Up Australia Day” and, as in past years, the TPA is calling for volunteers for our own “Clean Up Teneriffe” exercise.

Kick off is at 08.00am from The Shed at 29 Macquarie Street (opposite Hastings Street).

We plan to finish by 10.30am or thereabouts and will follow up with a ‘gold coin’ sausage sizzle.

I look forward to seeing you there.

Mactaggarts Place petition

Submitted by Ben Pritchard on Fri, 14/10/2016 - 11:40am

The attached letter from Lord Mayor Graham Quirk is the BCC response to the submitted petition requesting Council to use its best endeavours to reestablish public access to Riverwalk through Mactagarts Place.

Notwithstanding the tone of the letter, the campaign to have the Fence removed continues. Please continue to show support for the campaign in every way you can. TPA will continue to coordinate campaign efforts and represent the views of the community on this important matter.
