It appears that Google Maps does not know where Teneriffe 4005 is as it is still saying it is part of Newstead 4006. We look forward to Google following the state government's outstanding decision and give back our own suburb status.
Dear Rob, Roger and Gillian
It was great to join with so many Teneriffe locals at the first event of the Teneriffe Progress Association (TPA). I fully support the formation of this group and was pleased to become a member.
Members of the TPA have been advised by Cr McLachlan that an application has been made to open a micro-brewery at 26 Helen St. Opening hours have been requested as 10.00AM to Midnight Monday to Sunday.
Objections to this application closed at BCC on the 12th of January. Should you have any objections to this proposal please advise the Teneriffe Progress Association by email ASAP.
It should be noted that Helen St. is zoned as Light Commercial with activity during the day.
It was pleasure to meet you recently regarding the establishment of the Teneriffe Progress Association.
As discussed, I wish to confirm that I am very much in support of the
forming the Teneriffe Progress Association and I look forward to working with TPA in the future. I commend the TPA on its objectives to protect and preserve the character, amenity and streetscape of Teneriffe, a suburb which I, together with Councillor Hinchliffe, had reinstated from a locality back to suburb status and of which I am very proud.
